How many of you still have Starbucks music cd's in your car?
I am from the three options era also. A few songs I hear from time to time put me right back behind the espresso bar in my green apron. One for me is "The Stars fell on Alabama" by Billy Holiday. One other is what I referred to as the "United Airlines theme", although that is clearly not the title of that piece of music!
Do cars still have CD players?
For me, the holidays would not be the holidays without Tim Jones and Holly Hinton curated holiday albums playing in the background. My I-phone still holds HEAR music compilations Road Trip to the 80s, Music for Going Places and PNW Region classics Cos' Choice 2004, 2005 and 2006.
But, if you want to go farther into the way back past of Starbucks music, I remember working as a barista on The Ave (#305) at a time when we had only a couple hour long tapes available. Italian opera every morning with a back beat of the knock box and afternoon shifts measured by the number of times I heard Eartha Kitt's Just an Old Fashion Girl play while dusting mocha mix powder off my green apron.
